Send the same text message to many contacts at once: straight away, at a set time, or a few at a time so replies don’t all arrive together.
Before you start #
- You need an Autopilot phone number. See How to get your Autopilot phone number.
- Only text people who have agreed to hear from you. Contacts who replied STOP are skipped automatically.
- Each text uses credit. Check your balance before a big send.
Steps #
-
Contacts
Open Contacts. Filter or open a smart list to find the right group, for example by tag.
-
Select the contacts
Tick the boxes on the left, or tick the top box to select everyone shown.
-
Click the SMS icon
Click the SMS icon in the bar above the list to open the bulk SMS window.
-
Write the message
Choose the phone number to send from and write your text, or pick a snippet. Add the first name to make it personal and say who you are.
-
Choose when it sends
Send all at once, send at a scheduled time, or Send in Drip Mode: set how many contacts per batch, how often, which days and which hours.
-
Send
Add a short description so you recognise it later, then click Send SMS.
Good to know #
- Follow progress in Contacts → Bulk Actions: sent, delivered, clicked and failed. Use the three-dot menu there to pause a drip.
- Drip mode is best for big lists. You can answer replies as they come in.
- Keep texts short. Long messages are split into several parts and cost more.
- Send at sensible times, for example weekdays between 9am and 7pm.
