If you run Google Ads with a lead form, Autopilot can create a contact for every new lead and start your follow-up straight away.
Before you start #
- You need a Google account with access to your Google Ads account.
- Your campaign needs a lead form set up in Google Ads.
Steps #
-
Settings → Integrations
Go to Settings → Integrations and find the Google Lead Ads card.
-
Manage → Install
Click Manage, then Install on the next page.
-
Sign in with Google
Sign in with the Google account that manages your ads, allow access, and choose the Google Ads accounts to connect.
-
Switch on your forms
Your lead forms appear with their campaign names. Click the Play icon next to a form to start syncing it.
-
Map the fields
Click Map Fields and match each question in the Google form to a field in Autopilot.
-
Send test data
In Google Ads, open the campaign, go to the lead form, click Edit, open the form and click Send Data. A test contact should appear in Contacts. You can ignore any warning Google shows for the test.
-
Start your follow-up
In Automation, use the Google Lead Form Submitted trigger to text or email new leads and notify your team.
Good to know #
- You can connect several Google Ads accounts with one Google login.
- To stop leads from a form, click the Pause icon next to it.
Troubleshooting #
If leads are not syncing, check that the right Google Ads account is connected, the form is switched on, all required fields are mapped, and the status shows Active.
If your ad account or forms do not appear, sign in with a Google account that has access to that Google Ads account.
