How to connect your business inbox

Connect your Gmail or Outlook inbox to Autopilot, so the emails you send and receive with customers appear in one place.

Before you start #

  • A Gmail (including Google Workspace) or Outlook (including Microsoft 365) account.
  • Each person connects their own inbox from their own login.

Steps #

  1. Settings → My Profile

Click Settings at the bottom of the left menu, then My Profile.

  2. Email (2-way sync)

Scroll down to Email (2-way sync), choose Gmail or Outlook and click Connect.

  3. Accept the permissions

Sign in to your email account and accept every permission it asks for. If you untick any, syncing will not work.

  4. Send a test email

Go to Conversations, start a new message, choose a contact and send an email. Your connected address is filled in as the sender automatically.

Good to know #

  • Emails sync both ways. What you send from Autopilot appears in your email account, and customer emails appear in Conversations.
  • This is your personal inbox for one-to-one emails. Automated and bulk emails go out from your email sending domain.
  • To disconnect, go back to Email (2-way sync) on your profile.

Troubleshooting #

If emails are not syncing, disconnect and connect again, making sure you accept every permission.
