Send calls to your Autopilot number straight through to your mobile, so you can answer customers wherever you are.
Before you start #
- You need an Autopilot phone number. See the related article.
- You need to be an Admin on your Autopilot account.
Steps #
-
Settings → Phone System → Phone numbers
Find your number in the list. The Forwarding Number column shows where calls go now.
-
Open the number’s settings
Click the three-dot menu next to the number and choose Edit Configuration.
-
Add your forwarding number
Open the Call Forwarding tab and add your mobile, starting with +44, as the external phone number calls go to.
-
Set the call timeout
Set the Incoming Call Timeout, the number of seconds your mobile rings before the call moves on to voicemail. About 20 seconds works best. Then save.
-
Test it
Call your Autopilot number from another phone and check your mobile rings.
Good to know #
- Customers still see and call your Autopilot number, so every call is logged against the right contact.
- Keep the timeout at about 20 seconds. Much longer and missed calls land in your personal voicemail, so Autopilot thinks the call was answered. Much shorter and you may not have time to pick up.
- On the Basic Details tab you can also make calls ring in the mobile app instead of forwarding them.
- If your plan includes the AI receptionist, it can answer calls you do not pick up. Do not forward the number the AI receptionist uses.

Troubleshooting #
If your mobile does not ring, check the forwarding number includes the country code (+44) and has no spaces.
