Automations do the follow-up for you. These are the ones that win most work for a small business, and where to start.
Where automations live #
Open Automation → Workflows. Every automation in your account is listed there with its status: Published means it is running, Draft means it is not. Your account may already include some automations. Check what is there before you build new ones.
The automations worth having #
- New lead reply. When someone fills in a form or a lead comes in from Facebook or Google, send a text and an email straight away and create an opportunity in your pipeline.
- Missed-call text-back. Text anyone whose call you missed, so they reply to you instead of ringing someone else.
- Quote follow-up. If a customer has not replied after a quote, send a friendly nudge after a couple of days, and again a few days later.
- Booking confirmation and reminder. Confirm every booking and remind the customer the day before.
- Review request. When a job is marked done, ask the customer for a Google review.
- Win-back. Months after a job, remind past customers it is time to book again, or send a seasonal offer.
How to build one #
-
Automation → Workflows → Create Workflow
Start from scratch, or use Browse Templates for a ready-made starting point.
-
Add New Trigger
Choose what starts it, for example a form being submitted or an appointment being booked.
-
Add actions
Add the steps: send an SMS or email, wait, add a tag, move an opportunity.
-
Test and publish
Use Test Workflow with a contact, then switch from Draft to Publish.
