How to take a payment with a payment link

A payment link is a simple checkout page for one of your products or services. Send the link by text or email, and the customer pays by card. No website needed.

Before you start #

  • Connect Stripe. Payment links only take online payments, not cash or bank transfer.
  • Create the product first. See How to set up your products and services.

Steps #

  1. Payments → Payment Links

Click Payments, then the Payment Links tab.

  2. Create a new payment link

Click the button to create a new payment link and give it a name you will recognise.

  3. Choose the product and price

Select the product and the price to charge. Set the quantity and any other options, then click Save.

  4. Share it

Click Send. Copy a generic link anyone can use, a personalised link for one customer, or send it straight to contacts by email or text.

Good to know #

  • You can add several products to one payment link.
  • Preview the checkout page before you send it.
  • Need a one-off amount for a single customer? An invoice is usually quicker. See How to send an invoice.
