How to create and send an email campaign

Send one email to many customers at once, for example news, an offer or a reminder. Send it now or schedule it for later.

Before you start #

  • Set up your email sending domain first, so your emails land in inboxes, not spam. See How to set up your email sending domain.
  • Decide who should get it. Use tags or a smart list, for example “Past customers”. See Tags and custom fields.
  • Only email people who have agreed to hear from you or are existing customers.

Steps #

  1. Marketing → Emails → Campaigns

Click Marketing in the left menu, then the Emails tab, then Campaigns.

  2. Create campaign

Click + Create campaign and choose a template or start blank.

  3. Write and design

Add your subject line, text, pictures and a clear button, such as “Book now” with your booking link. Use merge fields like first name to make it personal.

  4. Send yourself a test

Send a test email and check it on your phone and computer.

  5. Choose who gets it

Click Send or Schedule and choose your recipients by contacts, tags or smart list.

  6. Send now or schedule

Choose Send Now, or Schedule and pick a date and time (your account’s timezone). For big lists, send in batches.

Good to know #

  • See opens, clicks and unsubscribes in Marketing → Emails → Statistics.
  • A scheduled campaign can be changed up to one hour before it sends.
  • Every email includes an unsubscribe link. People who unsubscribe won’t get campaigns again.
  • Campaigns are one-off sends. For a series of emails that go out automatically, use an automation.
  • Each email uses a small amount of credit.
