Connect Stripe so customers can pay your invoices, quotes and payment links by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The money goes straight to your Stripe account.
Before you start #
- You need a Stripe account, or you can create one during the steps below.
- You need permission in Stripe to connect apps (the account owner always has it).
- You need to be an Admin on your Autopilot account.
Steps #
-
Payments → Integrations
Click Payments in the left menu, then the Integrations tab.
-
Stripe → Connect
Find Stripe and click Connect. A Stripe window opens.
-
Log in and authorise
Log in to your Stripe account (or create one), check the details and approve the connection.
-
Check it is connected
Back in Payments → Integrations, Stripe should now show under Connected. Click Manage to choose which payment methods customers see.
Taking cash or bank transfer #
If customers pay you by cash or bank transfer, you can still send invoices and mark them as paid yourself. To offer these options at checkout, connect Manual Payment Methods on the same Integrations page. Payment links only take online payments.
Good to know #
- One Autopilot account connects to one Stripe account.
- Payments you took in Stripe before connecting won’t appear in Autopilot. Only new payments do.
- Use Stripe’s test mode if you want to try a payment without charging a real card.
- Stripe charges its own processing fees. These are separate from your Autopilot plan.
Troubleshooting #
If Stripe doesn’t show as connected, check you finished every Stripe step with an account that has permission to connect apps, then click Connect again.
