When someone fills in your Facebook or Instagram lead ad form, Autopilot can create the contact straight away and start your follow-up within seconds.
Before you start #
- Connect your Facebook Page first. See How to connect your Facebook and Instagram accounts.
- Your ad must use a Facebook Instant Form (lead form), not a link to your website.
- On Facebook, the person who connected the Page needs Leads Access in Business Manager. This is a Facebook rule.
- If your form asks extra questions (for example “When do you need this done?”), create matching custom fields in Autopilot first.
Steps #
-
Settings → Integrations
Go to Settings → Integrations and open the Facebook card.
-
Open the form mapping
Open Facebook Form Fields Mapping. You will see the lead forms from your connected Pages.
-
Map each question to a field
For each form, match every question to a field in Autopilot: name, email, phone, address and your custom fields. Save your changes.
-
Send a test lead
Use Facebook’s Lead Ads Testing Tool, or fill in your own form from a personal account. Check that the new contact appears in Contacts with all details filled in.
-
Start your follow-up automatically
In Automation, build an automation that starts with the Facebook Lead Form Submitted trigger. Use it to send a quick text, add the lead to your pipeline, or notify your team.
Good to know #
- Avoid renaming questions in a Facebook form once it is live. It can break the mapping.
- Custom fields that work with lead ads: single-line and multi-line text, number, phone, monetary, single option, dropdown (single) and date.
- Speed matters. A reply within a few minutes wins far more jobs than a call the next day.
Troubleshooting #
If leads are not arriving, open the Facebook card in Settings → Integrations and use Troubleshoot. It shows missing permissions and lets you sync leads manually.
If leads arrive with empty fields, check the mapping for that form and fill in the missing matches.
