Connect your Facebook Page and Instagram account so that lead ads, Messenger chats and Instagram messages arrive in Autopilot.
Before you start #
- You need to be an Admin on your Autopilot account.
- On Facebook, you must be an Admin of the Facebook Page and of the Business Manager (Meta Business Suite) that owns it.
- For Instagram, your Instagram account must be a professional account (Business or Creator) and linked to your Facebook Page.
Steps #
-
Settings → Integrations
Click Settings at the bottom left, then Integrations.
-
Facebook → Connect
Find the Facebook card and click Connect. A Facebook window opens.
-
Log in and approve permissions
Log in to the Facebook account that manages your business Page. Leave all permissions switched on, especially access to Pages, leads and messages. Facebook may show the connection under a different app name. That is normal.
-
Choose your Page
Tick the Facebook Page (or Pages) you want to connect. If you have many Pages, you can search for yours once the list has loaded.
-
Choose which leads to bring in
Choose All Leads to bring in older leads as well, or New Leads Only to start from today.
-
Connect and Continue
Click Connect and Continue. A green “Integration successful” message confirms it worked.
-
Connect Instagram messages (optional)
Back in Settings → Integrations, click Connect on the Instagram card and follow the same steps, so Instagram DMs land in your inbox.
Good to know #
- Instagram lead ads come in through the Facebook connection, as long as Instagram is linked to your Facebook Page.
- Only the person who connected Facebook can change which Pages are connected later. Ideally, the business owner does it.
- You can connect more than one Facebook Page to the same Autopilot account.
- To disconnect, open the three-dot menu on the Facebook card and choose Disconnect.
Troubleshooting #
If your Page does not appear in the list, check on Facebook that you are an Admin of the Page and of its Business Manager, then connect again.
If Autopilot asks you to reconnect, Facebook access has expired (for example after a password change). Click Connect on the card again and log in.
