How to move a lead and add its value

Add a job to your pipeline, give it a value, and move it along as it progresses, so you always know what work is coming in.

Add an opportunity #

  1. Opportunities → + Add opportunity

Click + Add opportunity at the top right.

  2. Fill in the details

Choose the contact, give it a name (for example “Roof clean, 12 High St”), pick the pipeline and stage, and enter the Opportunity Value, the price of the job.

  3. Choose the owner

Pick who on your team is looking after it, then create the opportunity.

Move it along #

  • Drag the card to the next stage on the board.
  • Or open the card and change the stage in the dropdown.

Mark it won or lost #

  1. Open the opportunity

    Click the card.

  2. Change the status

Set it to Won when the job is booked, or Lost if the customer said no. Add a lost reason, so you can see later why jobs slip away.

Good to know #

  • Always add a value. The total at the top of each stage then shows how much work is in each part of your pipeline.
  • Use Abandoned for leads that went quiet, so they stay separate from real no’s.
  • New opportunities start as Open.
  • Deleting a contact also removes the link to its opportunity, so mark it lost instead.
