Send Autopilot emails from your own domain, so they look like they come from your business and are more likely to land in the inbox.
Before you start #
- You need to be an Admin on your Autopilot account.
- You need your own website domain (for example yourbusiness.co.uk) and access to its DNS settings, usually where you bought the domain.
Why it matters #
Until you add your own domain, Autopilot sends your emails from a shared domain used by many businesses. That works, but your own domain builds a sending reputation that belongs to you and unlocks higher sending limits.
Steps #
-
Settings → Email Services
The Email services tab shows which domain you send from, your daily sending limit and how much you have sent today.
-
Dedicated Domain And IP → Add Domain
Click Dedicated Domain And IP at the top right (or Add a dedicated domain), then add your domain.
-
Choose a subdomain
Use a subdomain used only for sending, such as mail.yourbusiness.co.uk or mg.yourbusiness.co.uk, not your main website address.
-
Add the DNS records
Autopilot shows the records you need. If automatic setup is offered for your domain provider, use it. If not, log in to your domain provider and add each record exactly as shown.
-
Verify
Go back to Autopilot and verify the domain. When every record shows a green tick, your domain is ready.
Good to know #
- DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to take effect.
- Your website and your normal business email keep working. The subdomain is used only for Autopilot emails.
- New accounts start with a lower daily limit that grows automatically as you send. Keep your list clean and send steadily to grow it faster.
- Replies still go to the reply-to address you set, so customers can answer you as normal.
Troubleshooting #
If you see “Domain already pointing to email server”, the subdomain already has email records. Pick a new subdomain that is not used for anything else.
If a record will not verify after 24 hours, check it was copied exactly, with no extra spaces or your domain name added twice. Email support@77labs.ai if you are stuck.
